(Our scheduled speaker, Dean of Engineering Ned Thomas, was called out of the country to a meeting on short notice. Ned personally chose our speaker, who reports directly to him, to present an important new project to educate and develop Rice Engineers to become inspiring leaders, exceptional team members and bold entrepreneurs)

SPEAKER: Kazimir Karwowski, ALM-Management,
First Executive Director from July 2013

Kaz and Ned both came to Rice from M.I.T. where Kaz served four years as a Leadership Specialist with the Bernard M. Gordon-MIT Engineering Leadership Program. His leadership skills were honed by 20 years in the U.S. Army Infantry Branch as an NCO with service in Iraq as a Platoon Sergeant as well as with the 10th Mountain Division in Mogadishu, Somalia, Haiti, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Later he served with the Army ROTC programs in a number of colleges, While with MIT’s Army ROTC Program, he was responsible for the leadership development of students from MIT, Harvard, Tufts, Salem State, Gordon and Wellesley College.

$25 with firm advance reservation, $30 walk-in.
